Mental Health Counselor

Position Summary

Safro Staffing is partnering with a behavioral health and addiction treatment organization seeking an experienced Mental Health Counselor to provide therapeutic services and support to individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment. This role focuses on counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, client advocacy, and coordination of care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
• Complete assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support.
• Educate clients and families regarding treatment and recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams.
• Coordinate referrals and community resources.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Participate in treatment planning and case reviews.
• Support client engagement and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Behavioral health or substance use treatment experience preferred.
• Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
