Primary Counselor

Position Summary

Safro Staffing is partnering with a behavioral health and addiction treatment organization seeking a dedicated Primary Counselor to provide individual and group counseling services within a behavioral health and substance use treatment environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, developing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, facilitating therapy sessions, and supporting clients throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services across multiple levels of care.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and screenings.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups, process groups, and clinical workshops.
• Monitor client progress and update treatment plans accordingly.
• Communicate with family members and support systems regarding treatment progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with referral sources and outside providers.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision.
• Support discharge planning and continuing care coordination.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree preferred in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree with relevant behavioral health experience considered.
• Experience working with substance use and co-occurring disorders preferred.
• CADC, CAADC, LPC, LSW, or related credentials preferred.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
